My Astro Shop is a division of Binary Systems Pty Limited established in 1999 and is a
fully Australian owned company. We are an importer and export retail / mail order online
shopping specialist manufacturing some of our own product designs along the way and have
product storage and delivery centres in NSW and Queensland. My Astro Shop was introduced
to provide a more convenient and safe service to internet shoppers seeking high quality
optical products for terrestrial, boating and astronomy needs. We offer a wide range of
carefully selected items at genuine discounts.
WHO WE ARE
We are amateur astronomers with over 35 years experience and actively use brands we sell
ourselves. We thoroughly test products for performance and value for money.
My Astro Shop was establish to meet the need for an ethical service for quality optical
products at realistic prices and we have a "genuine & educated" interest in
the hobby for all levels from beginner to advanced amateur astronomers.
My Astro Shop are product testers for the renowned Sky-Watcher range of telescopes and
GOTO systems and can give you the best, first-hand advice in Australia.
Since we have a practical and active
interest in astronomy, we don't simply offer products that are unsuited to your needs just
for the sake of a sale. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase
and endeavour to do our very best to provide you with the best advice. Founder (Steve
Massey) has authored and published seven books on astronomical subjects both locally and
overseas and has been a contributing photographer and writer to several other books,
periodicals and scientific papers. Click

Spring Observatory at the Anglo-Australian Telelescope in the 1990's and has been a
co-author on a published scientific paper.
My Astro Shop has a strong growing customer

ASTRONOMY SHOULD BE FUN
If you're starting out in astronomy then it
should be a pleasurable experience that will result in a life long passion because that's
what the hobby is all about. We believe that having the right equipment for the job is
essential.

prefer to list only those items we have performance tested and that they meet the most

products based on our work even to the point of cloaked phone calls and e-mails to service
their own customer queries.

care about matching you up with the right instrument to meet your needs. We were
beginners once also and know how disappointing some well intentioned Xmas gifts can be.
There's nothing worse than buying something you or a loved one may only use once simply
because it didn't perform as advertised. We don't sell those junk telescopes you'll get
